Invisible Text Generator (Blank Character Copy-Paste)
Copy invisible characters that actually work — Braille blank, Hangul filler and zero-width space — in any length from 1 to 50. For blank Instagram names, bio line breaks, blank comments and empty WhatsApp messages. Free, no signup.
Braille Blank
U+2800The classic blank character. It counts as a real character almost everywhere, which is why it is the one that works for blank Instagram display names, blank comments and empty WhatsApp messages.
Hangul Filler
U+3164A Korean syllable filler that most apps treat like an ordinary letter. Popular for blank usernames in games and social apps, and a good second choice when the Braille blank gets filtered.
Zero-Width Space
U+200BA true zero-width space, useful for subtle formatting and spacing tricks in text you write yourself. Honest warning: many apps strip it on save — including some Instagram fields — so test before you rely on it.
No invisible character works in every app — each app decides which characters to keep. Always paste, save, and check the result before you use a long string somewhere important.
How to Use the Invisible Text Generator
Invisible text is made of real Unicode characters that simply have no visible shape. Apps count them as text — so a field that refuses to be empty will accept them — but people see blank space. That one trick powers blank Instagram names, spaced-out bios, empty comments and blank WhatsApp messages.
- Choose a character. Braille Blank (U+2800) is the reliable all-rounder. Hangul Filler (U+3164) is the backup for apps that filter the Braille blank. Zero-Width Space (U+200B) is for formatting, with the stripping warning above.
- Pick a length. Use Copy 1 or Copy 10 on a card for a quick grab, or set any length from 1 to 50 with the slider in the custom builder.
- Tap Copy and paste the invisible text where you need it — a name field, a bio, a comment box or a chat.
- Save and check. If the app stripped the character, the blank will vanish — try a different character type from the cards above.
Where Each Invisible Character Works
- Blank Instagram display name: use one Braille Blank. A truly empty name is not allowed, but a name containing only the Braille blank displays as blank.
- Instagram bio line breaks: Instagram mostly keeps normal line breaks now, but a Braille Blank on an otherwise empty line stops the app from collapsing your spacing.
- Blank comments: a single Braille Blank posts as an empty-looking comment. The Hangul Filler also works on most days.
- Blank WhatsApp messages: WhatsApp blocks sending a truly empty message; one Braille Blank sends as a blank bubble.
- Blank usernames in games and apps: the Hangul Filler is the usual pick, because many games treat it as a normal letter. Some games patch it out — if the name comes back as boxes or gets rejected, that app has filtered it.
- Formatting with zero-width space: fine inside documents and text you control, unreliable inside social apps that clean pasted text on save.
FAQ
What is an invisible character?
It is a real character in the Unicode standard that has no visible glyph — your phone stores and counts it like any letter, but it renders as empty space. The three on this page are the Braille Blank (U+2800), the Hangul Filler (U+3164) and the Zero-Width Space (U+200B).
Which blank character works best on Instagram?
The Braille Blank (U+2800). It survives in display names, bios and comments because Instagram treats it as a normal character. If a field ever rejects it, try the Hangul Filler next.
How do I send a blank WhatsApp message?
Copy one Braille Blank from the card above, paste it into the WhatsApp message box, and send. The message sends as an empty bubble because WhatsApp sees a character even though you see nothing.
Why did my invisible text disappear after saving?
The app cleaned it. Zero-width spaces are stripped by many apps on save, and some username fields filter blank-style characters too. Switch to the Braille Blank, which is the hardest for apps to justify removing because it is a legitimate Braille character.
Is an “empty character” the same as a normal space?
No. A normal space (the spacebar) gets trimmed from the start and end of most fields, and an all-spaces name or comment is treated as empty and rejected. Invisible characters are not trimmed, which is the entire reason they work.
Are invisible characters allowed?
They are ordinary Unicode characters, not a hack or an exploit. That said, each app sets its own rules — a few games, for example, require visible names in their terms. If an app rejects the character, that is its answer, and this tool cannot override it.
